A good read compiled by the guy that does Doonesbury.  The focus is not on politics or policy, but on war stories from the people in the fight, and their families.  It's all slice-of-life from the front, and a lot of them are very good, succinct reads.
The key to surviving this site is to not say something which ends up as someone's tag line - Steelgrave

"their citizens (all of them counted as such) glorified their mythology of 'rights'...and lost track of their duties. No nation, so constituted, can endure." Robert Heinlein, Starship Troopers

Some good stories there. It's to Trudeau's credit that the Sandbox is kept free of politics and simply serves as a place for service members to tell their stories.

"you don't look at the mantelpiece when you're poking the fire" - Bawb

Some good stuff there, I'll have to take some more time and read through everything.
