Anyone taking advantage of this? I saw Wolverine's post about 2nd Manassas and I see they have quite the list of games to choose from.. you can grab an oldie but goodie free.. can grab another one if you invite a friend!

I don't like being forced to watch commercials, so I did not participate in GamersGate's VOID program.
Regardless of how good a PC game may be it will always have its detractors and no matter how bad a PC game may be it will always have its fans.

Tuna

how do you mean commercials? Does it put commercials in the game? I noticed some ads in the 'downloader'..

Silent Disapproval Robot

I signed up for it when it was in beta but never saw anything I was interested in trying that I didn't already own.

I just downloaded EU Rome.. I noticed the installer had an add on the top (other than that it looked like the regular installer).. Started up the game.. it looked like a regular Paradox start.. downloading update now.. will let you know if I see commercials later..If I do, I'll probably uninstall..

I did the VOID thing when it first came out last year(?).  Its OK, the commercial thing isn't too bad.  You just have to watch 1 ad each time you fire up the game.  I think I had to watch a World of Warcraft ad...from 2009  :P

I keep my eye on the games available through VOID, but there's not much I'm interested in or don't already own....

So far I've launched Rome 3 times.. Once to patch.. Once to change screen Resolution.. again to start up a different tutorial.. haven't seen on commercial.. Only time I saw commercials was when the gamersgate installer was downloading.. if that's it, I can live with that.. In thirteen days, I can pick a different game!

Yeah..  Have most of them as well.. but wouldn't mind trying Kings Bounty.. EU Rome (which I downloaded).. there was another one, that interested me..

Some good games going at very low prices - thanks for the heads-up Tuna.

King's Bounty is a great game. Like you I already own most of the games available through VOID that interest me but Risen and Starpoint Gemini tempt me.

I had most of them but I too got King's Bounty and there
are others worth the price of watching a commercial just
to look at FOR FREE.  Some of you guys get something for
free and it is too expensive or not good enough!
It is really a take it or leave it kind of thing.
If you see something you want to look at you can for as long as
you like and if you don't you can complain that they did not give
you Skyrim for free.

Seriously?  This again?  Where are these droves of people demanding they get all their titles for free?  Specifically the, "some of you guys" part makes me wonder why you continually accuse people hereabouts of purely being a bunch of freeloaders.

Please point them out.  I don't see it.

Rudeness.

Longdan

You have a point there and for that I am sorry.
I just like to head things off at the pass.  When
void came out a long time ago there were many
complaining that the games weren't new and there
was a commercial.  Why does this bother you?

Are you this judgmental in person too?

I am sorry if you feel I mean you.  Why would I?
Unless you were going to complain it would
have to be somebody else.

I don't think you mean me.

I do think there's a pattern where you make disparaging comments about other forum members as a group in everything from DRM posts to gun control.  It's getting tiresome.
