Personally, I think I'm going to pass.  It's too hard to go back to a non-clickable cockpit in a fast-mover at this point in my simming life, and I have the Su-25 to goof off with if I have an urge to fly Russian.

To be fair, some of the more mundane workload isn't present in the non-interactive cockpit sims so it can also be refreshing.  I too enjoy a clickable 'pit just because it's more immersive and can be easier to memorize where a few essentials are, but the study sims also tend to have many more steps to follow when doing anything but flying the stick.


And why the hell would they raise the price by $10 after an update?!  There better be some serious content additions in it!  If any of the dev team have suggested such a thing, it kinda turns me off the purchase either way.  It makes me wonder if they're just gonna turn it into a "Flaming Cliffs 4" re-release in an attempt to get previous owners to shell out anew, or if such a re-release will be coming soon anyway.  So maybe buyers should wait & see how this turns out (if a packaging adjustment really is in consideration).  This is all a quandary because I've really been considering picking up FC3 lately but if they pull a Matrix and decide to release it as FC4 (for one example), I don't wanna be stuck with a just-purchased yet outdated FC3.  I've done that before.  >:(

I'm pretty sure that I read at SimHQ or the official forum that FC3 is the last of the Flaming Cliff franchise, since its "own" by UbiSoft and Eagle now have FCx included in DCS World.

I was trying to post info about this last night but I couldn't get connected to Grogheads  for some reason

I expect I will buy this if for nothing else than to support them - they do create some fantastic sims.

I'm not "overly" happy about it, what with the plethora of incredible war beasts out there they could've modelled - but they aren't catering just for me.  ;)
