And what a great word that is, steelie.

Booby booby boo, boo booby booby, booby booby boo....although I can't remember how the tune goes
'We few, we happy few, we band of brothers'

'Clip those corners'

Recombobulate the discombobulators!

LOL.  Let's try again.  Not easy is it?  :)

I see a red door and I want it painted black.
No colors anymore I want them to turn black.
"You and I are of a kind. In a different reality, I could have called you friend."

Hold up....the above mmms are indeed part of the lyrics...I may have broken into them a bit early though if we count Mick's screaming towards the end of the song.

Can I make a request?

FREEBIRD!!!!!
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

I want to see it painted, painted black, black as night, black as coal
I want to see the sun, blotted out from the sky
I want to see it painted, painted, painted, painted black...yeah!

;D

Don't worry Gus, you didn't cause the fail.

Definitely, if we can make it through Paint it Black first.   ;D

But if everyone wants to change gears we can do that too.  I'll give the honors of restarting to someone else though if we try another attempt to close out Paint It Black.

Given Arctic's and Pop's poo pooing all over Flock of Seagulls, I am going to refrain from getting into a Paint it Black/Freebird debate. Paint It Black has been one of my favorite songs since I became aware of it as the theme song from Tour of Duty as posted above and he Stones one of the first bands I ever loved. Skynyrd...not so much :)

Paint it Black is a great song. I'd put Gimme Shelter and Can't You Hear Me Knockin' ahead of it, but not by much.  :)

You gotta love live TV in Black&White.
"Most gods throw dice, but Fate plays chess, and you don't find out until too late that he's been playing with two queens all along".  Terry Pratchett.

During filming of Airplane, Leslie Nielsen used a whoopee cushion to keep the cast off-balance. Hays said that Nielsen "played that thing like a maestro"

Tallulah Bankhead: "I'll come and make love to you at five o'clock. If I'm late, start without me."

"When all other trusts fail, turn to Flashman." — Abraham Lincoln.

"I have enjoyed very warm relations with my two husbands."
"With your eyes closed?"
"That helped."  Lauren Bacall

Master Chiefs are sneaky, dastardly, and snarky miscreants who thrive on the tears of Ensigns and belly dancers.   Admiral Gerry Bogan.

^Great recording. That song is in my blood!

I like this in particular because it is live.
On live TV anything can happen.  In this case, Mick got a little carried away with the microphone, and you can hear that it is cutting in and out near the end.
No re-takes in those days.

I wish I could be more like what I think Mick Jagger is like...supremely confident, devil-may-care attitude, strong writer...

Watching the 'Canes-Sabres game and there was a stoppage around the 6-min mark in the 3rd where the organist started playing Paint It Black.  Totally sounded out of place but made me think of this.
