Thanks for the heads up Pete.  It was priced similarly in the Autumn Sale, and while I'm tempted (then and now), with the mixed reviews I'm still hoping for something a bit better than the 40% off.

This game just doesn't get the scale correct. A mature train line for six small towns, fairly close together just doesn't work for me.

"...Train Fever USA DLC will be released this Friday, February 27. The DLC will be available for free and features a complete American game mode."

More information about the Train Fever USA DLC can be found here.

Haven't looked in on TF in a while.  Looks like it still has a lot of issues.  Maybe I'll grab it when its in a sale.  It is interesting that the devs mention "Train Fever 1" in this thread.  Maybe they'll fix some things in TF2...

Ditto....we could form a support group. Well, we could but obviously we already don't have enough time to play the games we already own  ;D

Train Fever 2 (aka) Transport Fever is coming Nov 8.  On sale as pre-purchase for $26.79 at GMG ($31.49 on Steam).  I never did grab TF1 because of some of the reviews.  Will be watching this one...

Those of us who purchased Train Fever and are considering purchasing Transport Fever will probably be interested in knowing "customers who bought Train Fever get a discount on Transport Fever. Details about this discount are not yet decided." Link

Wolf01 posted this thread on the Steam forums: "Will the 15% bonus for owners of TrainFever will [sic] stop on 8 november too?"

Gamereactor reports: "Urban Games' Transport Fever will be coming to Steam on November 8, as announced via a trailer released by Gambitious Digital Entertainment, showing off some gameplay.

What's more is that Train Fever owners receive a loyalty discount of 25% from now until launch, and there is a 10% sale for pre-purchases of the game on Steam as well...."

So, if you purchased Train Fever, make sure you don't miss out on the loyalty discount (whatever it may be) if you purchase Transport Fever.

I have Train Fever, Open TTD, Simutrans, A-Train 9, and every variant of Railroad Tycoon ever made, along with Railroads!, and even Ticket to Ride. In short, I am a railroad junkie.

THIS game, Transport Fever, looks pretty good. There appears to be a more robust industry system in play, with the UI a lot more friendly. In short, it appears to be a nice upgrade from Train Fever. I have seen every video available, including the many two minute long developer blogs..and I like what I see, to this point.

Grim.Reaper

So what do you exactly do in this game?

TF is $2.99 on Steam/HB.  May finally pull the trigger on this one for that price...
