Has anyone ever heard of this pre-Python show?  At last the 1948 show.
Marty Feldman and John Cleese in this vid, but there are others from this show.

During filming of Airplane, Leslie Nielsen used a whoopee cushion to keep the cast off-balance. Hays said that Nielsen "played that thing like a maestro"

Oh yes indeed. I can well remember that. Marty Feldman was just so funny. He also had his own show on the Beeb for a while in the late 1960's.

Try this for a chuckle;

In one sketch on 1 March 1967, Feldman's character harassed a patient shop assistant (played by Cleese) for a series of fictitious books, achieving success with Ethel the Aardvark Goes Quantity Surveying.

Yep, I think there are a few on there. I may go and look for myself, but I know if I do, I'll spend the rest of the night watching 'em. There again, you could waste time in far worse ways  :)
