I've never played WoT(anks), nor seen a frame of that anime before, and I still thought that was hilarious. (Although I kept expecting someone to make an "Absolute territory" joke.)

That's one game mode, I wish they would add, same tank battles, where each day/week they would feature battles where every one plays the same tank, no arty!

I tried playing again, a couple times in the past month, but the goddamn Spy Satellite Laser Artillery just pissed me off once again.  The arty mechanics are just plain ridiculous and it makes me ragequit every single time.

I'd still be playing WoT somewhat regularly if it wasn't for that BS.  ::)

you obviously haven't played with many light tanks on the otherside... the newer ones can crank up to 70km/hr

That would be a start, but I still posit they screwed up arty with the "Eye In The Sky" approach from the beginning.  Having your tracks constantly busted due to multiple ones focus-firing on you, and locking out your control while repeatedly blasting you until death, is also a frustrating and unnecessary experience in a match-based game.  They could've done something better than the current orbital bombardment super-weapon implementation but limiting it to two per side would minimize the lockout nonsense.

Until they add a dozen or so new maps and some new game play modes, I'm pretty much done with WOT.

What ever happened to Historic Battles, where tanks would be limited to specific time periods or battles they talked about a year ago?

thats been implemented buy you have to sign up for specific events.  they restrict the tier you can play but not the type of tank IIRC.

Hopefully the overblown arty doesn't make me ragequit anytime soon.

It seems like there is a lot more arty in the tier 9 and 10 battles.  Frequently there are four in those high tier battles, but in the tier 5 and 6 there are frequently none or one.  Another reason why I enjoy the mid-tiers more that the high tiers.
