Maybe. I'm hoping for the best. I'd love a good Star Trek FPS game. I played the one based on Voyager years ago and enjoyed it. Nothing great, but it was fun vaporizing bad guys. If this manages to be about as good I'll be happy.

And who knows? We might even be able to do some multiplayer. That would be great :)

I checked Steam and it's still 50$ there.
That 40$ must have been a sale/discount.

Mind you I too paid only 40$ since I bought through GreenManGaming and used a coupon :D

Martok -- how does KA play on newer systems?  This thread has me wanting to try to pick up a copy.  Also what was the DRM for KA?  Disc in drive?  Serial number?   Thanks....

In all honesty, I've had problems running the game on my last machine, so I'll admit I'm not terribly optimistic.  Either way, though, I should be able to let you know in a few days what my results are.

Just the disc in the drive.

Interestingly, I just stumbled across a user-made patch that supposedly fixes most of the issues the game had with running on newer rigs.  Will see if I can't fire it up sometime this weekend to find out if it actually works...  <crosses fingers>

I like it.

A bit consolish, but it's still fun. The game starts out on a shoot-fest but quickly slows down into some puzzle solving and button mashing. But after about 30 minutes or so it picks up again.

I'm playing solo but it looks as if the game is designed to be played in two-player co-op. Set in the reboot universe I'm having fun.

Yes, but with the caveat that this is isn't Call of Duty. It's a console action game ported to a PC. A lot of money has been invested in getting the skins to look like the actors. The voices are all the real actors' voices. As a result the graphics are maybe an A- to B+. Story isn't bad. But at almost every turn the devs have elected to do console style stuff rather than PC. To do something you not only click a button, but hold it. Then you might have to mash it.

All in all I like it. I'm having fun. But it does feel "off" from a typical FPS game on the PC.

Next...I'd like to meet the guy on these boards who doesn't like Star Trek!
