Did Kenshi look unreasonably awesome? Try Don't Starve instead! (1 free copy!)

So, as reported, Kenshi is still in a barely-alpha state. But I've played several days worth of Don't Starve already, and it certainly isn't in a barely-alpha state -- it officially released this week, but Steam has been offering an open beta.

The art-style of DS reminds me pretty strongly of DeathSpank (another game I have played for a while but haven't gotten close to beating yet), although it's less colorful and rather more darkly amusing. In effect it's Minecraft-lite with more defined graphics.

Anyway, beta testers (which I guess technically I was one of) were given an extra copy of Don't Starve completely for free, so I have one free copy to give away via Steam to the first person who asks for it.

I just picked this up in the AM, today.

Seems a bit weak on the content side, as it feels rather repetitive right now.  I can see it being fun, notably after some more variety.

There's another upcoming survival one called Under The Ocean that may be of interest, too.  http://store.steampowered.com/app/227720/  It's a "stranded on a remote island" premise.

Wow. Thanks again, Jason! I was up playing DS until 1:30 in the AM last night. I haven't done that in a while. There seems to be plenty of variety to keep a newb like me busy for awhile.
