The weekend couldn't get here soon enough! There will be games played and battles won! I will continue trying to take 50% of the Holy Sites in my Impossible Warlock game with 9 AI players on a Huge continenal map. I'm sure there will be some Civ IV MP as well.

Not sure the wife is away for the Weekend scrapbooking, so I'll get a lot of gaming time in!.. Have to work for a lil bit tomorrow morning, so that kind of sucks, but the rest of the weekend should be cool..

Well...Band of Heroes AAR to complete. I would also like to continue my OOTP 13 season and my Shogun 2 campaign - which isn't going all that great.

Seemingly very few people want to trade with me, I have a lack of food and therefore rebellions (I only have 4 regions!)

I was asked to attack a sole island which belonged to a clan. I can't remember the name but it was the only region the clan had and they were marked as easy...sent a big army there without scouting - bad news - they had a bigger army.

Next time sent my experienced ninja - he was caught!

So I have built a huge army to go and take this island (it's got gold!) but I'm waiting for my ninja to be available again...then wait some turns to get him to the docks - then wait some turns to get my ship with him on board to the island - it's all sapping my money!

I raise taxes, I get unrest. I buy more men to quell rebellions and I use more money. I lower taxes to keep the people happy and I go into minus tax returns...it's very, very difficult to balance!

Tomorrow it's dropping the dogs off at the kennel, packing, and then off to the Bahamas for our first real vacation in 4 years. Until then I will do some more testing on Lock n Load and fool around with Reus, having just completed the tutorial.

Finally going to start CK II...go through tutorials and start a campaign with Byzantine characters. Maybe watch a few more YouTube tutorials so I have some idea what is going on, hopefully. May also start an AJE campaign if I am feeling ambitious, and perhaps a Civ V game decked out with ancients mods.

I'm going to gradually cut down on the FOTS time. I had a gruesome island battle myself. I brought a big but not particularly good army and it took two bloody assaults to take the fortress despite having naval gun support. Nice battles though.

Maybe The Burning Blue will turn up and I'll switch to that. Meanwhile, I got two very old and musty copies of Invasion: Norway. It's a game from 1995 and would have profitted from some kind of card mechanics. I guess I got it to do the land campaign if PQ-17's Norway 1940 expansion ever comes out. So with heaps of musty or unpopular boardgames around I'll probably escape to FOTS and/or CLOD and/or RO2 and/or ARMAIII and/or CKII. Good thing I have a weekend for all that.
