RO2 Rising storm stopped working

I'm stumped.  I was playing last night.  But tonight, the game hangs on the main menu.  It's just not responsive.  Any ideas?

In your steam library right click the title, select properties, local files tab, verify integrity of game cache...

Did that and was successful but still hanged.  Other people replied to my post in Steam and report the same issue.  But is anyone here having the same problems?

Upate: for some reason it is working again.
