Why stop with Germany?

Today Europe, tomorrow, the world!

Wait, that sounds kinda familiar...

Pintor wiped his hand over his face and rubbed the back of his neck, it had been a strange day - at 08:00 on the 8th July a white flag had come out of the court building's upper window and shortly after a dishevelled German officer had walked out of the Nazi headquarters shouting that Hitler was dead and asking to speak with the local commanding officer. Since the heady days of 1936 Pintor had been at the spearhead of most of Italy's victories, but they were local disputes, old land been reclaimed - today he and his army had vanquished a superpower of Europe. The older victories had been a very simple matter of the head of state agreeing to join the Empire, this seemed so much more than that - Pintor knew that in a matter of days the whole world would be watching...........

On July 9th 1942, Armistice Day, the imprisoned Jodl, now the senior representative of Germany's forces, signs the German unconditional surrender in Rome. The borders of controlled territories in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway were a mess. The French government in exile, set up by the British in London after the fall of France to the Germans in 1940 had immediately contacted Mussolini - they swore loyalty to the Empire, walked away from the Allies who had so poorly defended them and allied themselves with Mussolini who immediately replaced the old government with a pro-fascist one. A day later Denmark, Belgium and Luxembourg joined the Empire too and swore fealty to Rome. All of Germany was under Italian control - somewhere out there was a small contingent of the Nazi party, probably led by Goering or Canaris, running the government from a cellar in some South American country in all likelihood - no matter - Germany was Mussolini's, as was the Netherlands and Norway.

Mussolini looked down on his desk, across from him the Danish King and his ministers signing the necessary documents that would hand Danish resources, industrial strength and armed forces over to Mussolini and the Empire. Laid before him were the new maps of Europe, prepared that morning -

The King raised an eyebrow at Mussloini as he chuckled to himself. What the hell was he going to do with Norway and a baltic coastline?

if memory serves vietnam is vichy still, missed this out actually, Vichy is still alive, has taken a lot of Italian Africa and is still at war with benito - sail to vietnam - take that and launch from there

come to think of it if Vietnam is french french its actually mine anyway

Steelgrave

You know, there IS a significant Italian-American community on the USA's East Coast. Maybe time to unite your people   8)

bob48

Maybe. But its still going to take a lot of build-up to get to Japan, and your Navy aint that big. Is Vietnam an ideal base to launch and support a invasion force from?

Perhaps Operationo Sealiono is a better option.

lol its so so tempting, but there is the big blue monster on the other side of the Atlantic - admittedly hes busy in the Pacific - basically the Allies are usa, canada and south africa but its still scary enough
