A few more great resources I found for this game, for the 2 or 3 groggies who play it. ;D

Beginner character build tips - Basic overview of stats and some recommended newbie traits/skills. https://cddawiki.chezzo.com/cdda_wiki/index.php?title=Beginner_Character_Build_Tips
Advanced character build tips - Some build-specific tips, but more importantly, a description and rating of every single trait in the game. Great for sifting through a rather mind boggling selection and narrowing down the most useful Positives or the least intrusive Negatives. The 5/5 traits are better than buying stats, 4/5 is about as good as buying stats, etc. https://cddawiki.chezzo.com/cdda_wiki/index.php?title=Advanced_Character_Build_Tips
Basic scavenging guide - Tips about the first items to look for & where for a new character. This is the phase where a high percentage of players die. https://cddawiki.chezzo.com/cdda_wiki/index.php?title=Scavenging
Basic forging guide - How to get yourself moving ASAP with raw metal so you can start scavenging vehicles to create high-end equipment. https://cddawiki.chezzo.com/cdda_wiki/index.php?title=A_Basic_Forging_Guide

Also, the Archer Guide is well worth checking out as I've found archery to be one of the most effective, efficient, and silent methods of dispatching zombies early game. https://cddawiki.chezzo.com/cdda_wiki/index.php?title=Archer_Guide
