Uh huh. I'm not unwilling to be convinced, but point to more convincing in that 30 minute interview. ;) "You paid money to see Kong beat the hell out of a bunch of helicopters," is not a defense for where those copters suddenly teleported in from. At best there should have been two or three more establishing shots.

The director and HT both also kind of forgot about the storm around the island -- exactly like the movie frequently does, from its opening shots onward. ;)


That said, I love the movie, and I'm sad to hear that the director won't be returning for more Toho Monsterverse installments.

I thought Kong was a great movie. Hope there's more in that vein upcoming.

The Mummy was...okay. Was nowhere near good but it wasn't terrible. The whole time I'm watching it I can't help but keep thinking of the Brendan Frasier meme:



I started watching Wonder Woman but stopped about 1/3-1/2 or so through to do something else, and wasn't nearly motivated enough to go back and watch it. It was  supremely average.

Kong was good, but it had some major flaws. Sam Jackson and John C Reilly kept it afloat.

Wonder Woman was an average superhero movie, but for DC that's pretty good. Gal Gadot is damn near perfect in the role.

I wouldn't see the new Mummy movie if you paid me.

Gal is about the only decent casting in any DC movie. Though admittedly the Batfleck character grew on me.

Like I said, it wasn't too bad, though I get why you'd not want to see it. The mummy character is kinda hawt though.

I can't watch Tom Cruise in a movie and not think he's standing on a box so he can see eye-to-eye with his co-stars.

I like Tom Cruise as an actor, but that movie looked terrible, the reviews were terrible...

Oh, he's impressed me at times. He's had a few good movies in recent memory. Then again, there's The Mummy, where he was easily the weakest link in the chain.

Would have made more sense to do something around Fraser, even if he has aged/put on a few pounds.
