I've seen something like that before, but I prefer this one -- and for including the HB animated Godzilla! The Marvel Godzilla however ought to be included, too. (Based on human scale I'd guess around the size of the HBG -- though the animated version was often way off model due to shoddy animation.)

Update: I just realized this was actually drawn by Rooks!? (But the Legendary Godzilla should be 120 to 150 meters, not 100.)

I was surprised when I saw the first version of the chart at how 'small' the main MilZilla model was (and at how large the Final Wars movie version was), but on reflection that makes sense: every movie in the Millennium series was intended to be a one-shot sequel to the original film, with two important exceptions: Tokyo SOS, which was the only true sequel to a Millennium entry (namely GvsMechaG3) and which literally featured the ghost of the original film's Godzilla haunting his original bones (and by implication being forced to fight what should have been his or her mate); and Final Wars, which has its own one-movie canon but which was originally intended to be a followup to the final Heisei movie (Godzilla vs the Destroyer, to use its non-trademarky title ;) ) and thus to feature the grown son of Godzilla (thus the similar scale).

This by the way explains the asterisks, the information of which is missing in the screencap provided by Rooks: the first asterisk would say something like "not counting Final Wars" and the second would say something like "plus Final Wars".

Incidentally, the other Millennium film not to use a version of the standard Millennium design was GMK: Giant Monsters All-out Attack; but its suit still looks built to the scale of the original film, since its theory is that Godzilla is (including the original movie) the zombie of a dead dinosaur brought to life not only by H-bomb radiation but by the vengeful ghosts of all the soldiers and civilians killed by the Japanese military in World War 2! (This being Japan, the vengeful ghosts are super-evil spirits, of course.)


Some other bits of trivia: Toho seems to have upscaled Sony's "Zilla" for his appearance in Final Wars, so that the "true" Godzilla wouldn't overshadow him in size so much -- but all the other monsters are upgraded in size by proportion, too, for the same reason. (Doesn't matter as Godzilla quickly kills most of them once he's on the move and in their areas, which is one of the several annoying things about the film -- despite its promise it's barely about GvsMonster fights.)

The 1984 second series reboot/sequel to the first movie, features a Godzilla which is much larger than the original but is ambiguous about whether this is the original upgraded or (as in the original Showa series itself!) just another creature of the same sort which happens to be larger. This is eventually sort-of explained by the Heisei series third movie, GvsKGhid, which hints that the original Showa timeline was altered by time travel to not only create the larger Godzilla (still possibly not the Godzilla of the original movie) but the Heisei film series continuity itself. (The time-travel plot mechanics are rather sloppy so don't work out neatly, unfortunately, but it was a noble effort.)

Also, freeze-frame enthusiasts found what looks a lot like Mothra's twin fairies (except human size) watching over the Vegas destruction aftermath from the corner room of a damaged building. I don't know whether those are intended to be the Cosmos/Shobijin, but if so it's likely an Easter Egg hidden by the fx team rather than a part of the actual plot.

Thoughts on the director's commentary and the German report:

** Well, I think we can say with some assurance that the shots we've been seeing of Brody's wife (I wonder if "Brody" is a Jaws homage...) being sealed behind the door, is her death in the opening scenes of the film. ("Not what you'd normally expect from an epic action movie" this scene, so early in the movie. Goodbye Juliet Binoche, we hardly knew ye.)

** Gareth Edwards basically confirms the icon on the bomb is from the 50s. Eh, okay, it looks more ad hoc when I see it close up in HD, I can live with it.

** Also confirms multiple "tests" trying to kill "something" (i.e. Godzilla) with the bombs. This makes not much sense to me -- those "tests" took a lot of time to set up, and were set up in different ways. Waiving that aside, the implication would be that since the bombs had to keep getting bigger G's size really might be as enormous as the posters are showing after all. But that doesn't fit the scale of many of the shots we've seen; but then some of the shots (such as the bomb explosion) DO fit the super-large 400 meter scale -- also, it doesn't make much sense for something less large than that to call for increasingly larger nuclear "tests" (or even one) to stop it.

So are we going to get a Gorgo here?

** Not a tentacle holding a bomb; and the way GE talks about it, it's neither a tentacle nor a bomb.

** Looking at the footage in closeup, I'm increasingly sure we're seeing one of the foe monsters diving out of the clouds before it hits the water (though whether the two shots are that closely linked I don't know. Probably those shots are closely connected to the shots with planes being knocked out of the air above the low-hanging SanFran cloud cover. If so, then one of the Mutos looks rather like Rodan from a distance or from various angles.

** A piece of the flying/diving creature looks to be falling off it (an insect-leg looking piece) just as it finishes the dive. So it was wounded fighting the planes.

** Going back to the question of scale from the posters for a moment: the humped back next to the bomb tower looks superlarge, but there is no sfx of Godzilla near the bomb when it goes off -- as often happens partial sfx are used in a movie for trailers, and we can see some of that in earlier trailers when planes are being tossed around by Mutos outside a terminal window but no Mutos. Consequently, the final shot in the film where the halo jumpers are coming down might in fact not be much different than what's shown concerning the same shot in the poster -- we just aren't seeing Godzilla composited in yet.

On the other hand, the earlier trailer indicates the jumpers only see G in the ruin as they finish descending, not towering so hugely over the city, so that's definite evidence against them jumping near such a superlarge animal as in the poster. Or next to the bomb. Or under the destroyers. (Note that the Heisei Godzilla was about as long as a modern destroyer, so the animal in the trailer is shrugging off several Heisei-Godzilla sized items in effect.)

** "If there was a giant creature, how did it get here, has it always been here, ARE THERE OTHERS, y'know? [...] A question we address in the movie." I'd say this is very strong confirmation there are multiple Godzillas in the movie (which is actually a staple of the previous three series), particularly since he says this while paused on the shot with Ken Watanabe standing in the long G-shaped skeleton, something GE describes as a "puzzle for the fans".

** The flying Muto is definitely flapping around over the bridge (as some sharp-eyed watchers have suggested) in the second shot of planes falling out of the sky (which seems very likely to be a bit earlier than a couple of other shots from this sequence). Again, from a distance it looks rather like Rodan with a longer tail.

That being said, I'm sure I've read somewhere that Toho has denied licensing any other monsters from the stable for this film -- though you can bet they'll license the new monsters pronto. ;)

** The roar definitely incorporates, and may even be built on, sound guys experimenting with the rosined leather glove on the double-bass A string.

Three comments:

1.) while the helicopter isn't to proper scale with the destroyer, the destroyer seems to be at the scale of destroyers in the film footage to Godzilla, allowing for a handy (if inadvertent) comparison. No way such a creature is "only" 150 meters tall.

2.) the toy model has a much more defined and properly classic three-row of fins on the back, compared to what we've seen from the footage so far (where the shard-fins look scattered more like GINO/Zilla's.)

3.) that Muto is straight up A GENESTEALER FROM THE TYRANNID FLEET!!
