I'm also looking forward to checking out their Squad Level stuff in the future, when I get some more disposable scratch.

This is my first LnL game and while it looks rather thin on content quantity in relation to the cost, it does have a simplistic elegance that's easy to get into & play.  I suppose the squad level series is a bit heavier on the rules?

Yes the squad level game has more rules. And some find the style of the rule book hard to get through. To me it's written like it was someone teaching you the game over a few beers. YMMV.

But once you learn the rules you can play any of the series that ranges from early WWII to 'Nam to the Falklands to WWIII to Somlia to lots of user made content. There is so much content....

Also once you have the rules down the game flows very well and I know almost never refer back to the rule book.

There's a tourney coming up in Feb. in Seattle... It's gonna be a blast!

This is always something I appreciate.  Even if the rules are pretty thick, if you can run the game with minimal reference back to the rulebook, after only a little experience, then that's a huge plus.

I've read the rules to Band of Heroes like 5 times and still have issues with them.  I'm going to force Brant to teach me the game next time I'm down his way.
