lol, youd delivered death from above, having wiped the immediate area of baddies you came down from your rooftop hidey hole to get to the next roof - gus triggered the next mob, 2 baddies destroyed your cover leaving your ass in the wind for the 3rd baddie to take you down, JD carried you home, because you had a good gun but lets face it - the AI definitely ganged up on you - its the welsh thing

I have spent a ridiculous amount on games in the past month. I need to draw the line somewhere.

The next two battles..............

Afridi and her sisters stalk a HK



The first 2 salvos take out the HK straight away - not quite the photo op



So..........

The 3 sisters hunt TB-22 off the coast of Spain, this from the German perspective



Ashanti sets up a torpedo attack



After 2 turns the torps still seem to be on track



The TB gets in 2 hits on the Alfredi before the torps connect



And there she goes - the rest of the torpedoes sail past

I had a model of the Ashanti when I was a kid. Was part of a kit where she was an escort for Ark Royal. Fun to see her in the game.

And Mirth is right, it is a beautiful game.

The first mission with some teeth on the otherside - 2 destroyers defend a large freighter

The first 6 shot salvo from Alfredi connects with the lead destroyer - all 6 HE shells land from bow to stern - in one broadside the German destroyer explodes in the night sky



Ashanti takes down the second destroyer after exchanging a number of shots



And its open season on the helpless freighter



The 3 old girls sail on by as she goes down

A different challenge - 2 Uboats - i take all three ships again

We start with Afridi, shes flanked on both sides by small plumes of water - periscope wakes





The destroyers fan out and head for the subs



Torp in the water



Ashanti bears down on her prey for a hedgehog attack



Four torps head for Afridi, but shes safe for now........



......but then takes 2 from an unseen launch



After overshooting a hedgehog attack, Ashanti pulls off a succesful depth charge spread



Jupiter also takes a single torp but stays afloat long enough to hedgehog the other u-boat, success but at a price
