Well - I'm out celebrating a friends "moving on" tonight (new job) so no gaming, but over the weekend I plan to have a "sim" weekend.

Now I have got Australia out the way, I think it'll be more F1 3013. I'll also get going on more RRE DTM and some Assessto Corsa which I bought during the week.

Maybe some BF4 if I can be bothered. I tried last night and was killed within a minute of joining the server. That was after downloading another 2GB patch! I want to enjoy the game, but I get so frustrated and being killed all the time. I think if there were less emphasis on stats, I might enjoy it more...it's the "reading" how crap you are that makes me think the game isn't worth my time.

^I fired up FSX on Sunday to carry on my Air Hauler and it done the same thing it always does - crash out after a long period of flying. Just sits there saying FSX has stopped responding. So I've actually kind of given up on FSX. I'm way too pissed off spending hours flying over land and sea to deliver 500kg of goods for £3000 only for the damn thing to crash with the airport almost in sight.

I've spent a fair bit of cash on it...but I think it's time to concentrate my gaming time on something that doesn't infuriate me.

I have looked around for a fix before - and even recently - but I haven't found anything that makes it totally stable. So I have to bow out of it I think.  :(

I'd be interested in your thoughts on Sim City...particularly the online only mode, the city size limit and whether things work (like easing congestion and general path finding)

Judge, you may be getting out of memory issues. FSX can only utilize 4GB ram because it is 32bit. With all the very nice and memory hungry add-ons, a lot of people are getting this error more and more these days. FSX is showing its age.

X-Plane 10 is 64 bit so I can use all my 16GB of Ram. Setting up a flight is faster, frames are smoother. But the platform is pretty "bare bones". Not too many nice add-ons to make the experience super.  Scenery is the biggest let down.

In honor of the birthday of our esteemed friend, mirth, I will be picking up some random barfly for a weekend of hot, sweaty...gaming!  That's it, gaming!  Ok, it'll probably only be one game, EUIV, but, I will be playing ;)

Empire Total War (still playing through the vanilla introductory campaign) and Shadowrun Returns (hopefully will finish the stock campaign, then move on to try some of the user-made campaigns). This should keep me busy. :)
