Rob asked me to put a notice on the forum for him as he cannot do it himself. He is unfortunately laid up in the Royal Victoria Infirmary, here in Newcastle, in terrible pain, he has kidney stones,
I have just left him. will update when i get information :'(
Ugh! Some beer should clear them right up, eh?
Ouch! Lots of fluids.... So yeah lots of beer should help. :D
Or maybe a sonic blast to break them up.... and then lots of beer! ^-^
PS Please send our best.
It's a ruse - he's trying to get elite horizons out of you by way of sympathy - don't fall for it
Owwww Poor Ol' Bob :(
Suffering with, and then passing, a Kidney stone has to be the closest that a man can get (in a non-bodily-injury kind of way) to experiencing what women go through during natural childbirth. How do I know this? Because several women who have been through both experiences have told me so.
Thought and prayers for a speedy recovery for "THE" Bob. You can't have an asylum without a Warden. :-[ :-[ :-[
Thanks all its 1.00 am here and he has just texted me, they have moved him from one hospital to another, and they have found a large stone stuck with smaller ones behind that,
I send your regards on :'(
Please tell his bob-ness that I hope he feels better soon. And to quit loafing ;)
Crap...hang in there, Sir!
It is Bawb's birthday, as well. This man knows how to party!
Get better, Bob. Don't make me come over there! :knuppel2:

Hopefully not male.
Knowing Bob's luck..... :P
Kidney stones are horribly painful. Hang in there Bob.

Well at least it doesn't require a sponge bath for his sake.
I kept thinking there was something I had forgotten that was important today. Then I remembered, that was the day Henry VIII of England concluded the Treaty of Westminster, a pledge of mutual aid against the French, with Ferdinand II of Aragon. Almost missed that.
Once Bawb recovers I am sure he can give you a great first hand account :)
send if the Luftstache!
Ah, poor Bob! Tell him to get well soon, we miss him already!
You're in our thoughts, Bawb.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I'm raising a glass to his (improving) health as I type!
I'll have one for him tomorrow. It's past 11pm here now. Unless..... does rum mix with prune juice?
I'll say this about Bawb - he knows how to get everyone's attention for his birthday :crazy2:
Happy Party Day, Bawb!

Damn Bawb, hope you're feeling better, sir. Also hope you're having a good birthday. Maybe your 'stache should visit?
Couldn't the Missus just redirect her pan-thwacking to Bob's flanks? That should break those stones right up.
Get better soon, Bob

Man I hope Bob's kidneys gave birth to those stones already.
I'll bet he shot one out and nearly put someone's eye out!

The idea of Bob aiming his penis at a nurse like a Red Ryder BB-gun is a bit disconcerting.
I understand that's how it's done in Newcastle. Besides, he was probably sedated. The Luftstache probably had control.
Denise, please give Bob my regards. I have every sympathy for him; kidney stones is one of my biggest fears! (And probably one of his now, too)
The Luftstache always has control even when it appears otherwise.

I don't think that it can be shaved. It has become hardened by existence to the point that it's nearly indestructible.
And like The One Ring, it has a "Will" of it's own.
Many thanks for the kind (?) words, gents. I appreciate having such good friends.
I'm out of hospital for now, having had an ultrasound earlier today. The stone is approx. 7mm x 5mm so may take another shot to break it up. If it shifts again, I will immediately have to go in again, and if all else fails, then they will use surgery to remove it.
It is incredibly painful, and I have had them before - 25 years ago - although they passed through within a couple of days.
So fingers crossed the treatment works as I sure as hell do not want to go through that again!

I get the 'stache. You can get the stones once they pass.
Welcome home Bawb!
Ouch, Bob! Glad you are okay! O0
Thanks gents - although, as I say, I'll still have to go back to check if they have been pulverised by the ultrasound - if not then its more treatment and maybe a op. If they cause pain again then its back to hospital in a rush :-{
Keeping a 'go-bag' ready just in case.

Rob was taken into hospital last night in pain with his Kidney stones, they are moving, but one hasn't shattered enough and blocked the rest, this caused the pain, hopefully home today.
here I go again. :(
Damn, Bob. Hope you get through this quickly sir.
Good luck and quick recovery.
Well, it sounds like the Fellowship of the Stone has broken up and the individual pieces have started making their way down the Great Urethra River. In celebration of what is sure to be an event that will focus Bawb's attention wonderfully, I propose that we entertain him with thoughts of all of the things that could be
worse than having jagged pieces of solidified mineral salts trying to force themselves out of your body.
For example, Bawb didn't wipe a sensitive place with leaves from the Australian Gympie Gympie plant...
^Dude. DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE.
I see you online, bob! Shouldn't you be in too much pain to have fun?
Aye, I just got home again tonight - with a few new meds which hopefully will manage the pain is needed.
Looks like the main stone has started to break up after the ultrasound, so now I just have to pass the bits through. From what I understand, once its clear of the kidney it may not be as painful. The last 7 days have truly been a nightmare.
Unfortunately, there is no guarantees that I won't have to go back into hospital again :-(
Hang in there, brother! We're here to give you all the sarcasm, fake sympathy and ribbing we can drum up. After all, WE'RE not going through it ;)
Just kidding. Feel better, bob. Can't imagine what you're going through.

Afuckingmen!
Just keep thinking about that first post-stone slash you'll take and how gloriously pain-free and relieving it will be! I'd be too deliriously happy to even bother aiming at the toilet. Look, I just peed all over the floor! Whatcha gonna do? Whooooooooo!
^I do that with my first pee of the day. Every day. And if it's the first pee after er...coupling...LOOK OUT, TO THE LEFT...WHOA
See Bob. Them Jack & Cokes I been having for you really do work. Of course tomorrow my head will feel like the inside of your urethra.... but that's tomorrow. Glad to have you back with us and speedy recovery Young Man.
Slash, your a good man!
I spent a reasonably comfortable night with just a few odd twinges, and same so far today. I'm just praying that it don't get as bad as it has been - the last 7 days have been a nightmare.
Hope you feel better soon...that sucks!
Herr Bawb, I shall return zoon to helpen meine Vater Schnurrbart!

Thanks Gus - its appreciated.
Aye, he's a persistent bugger. Mine is looking very grey and droopy just now...........and the 'stache ain't much better..........
HA we need to get you back into fighting trim!
There oughta be some nice stripper truck stops in New Yawk you can visit with Bawb, eh Gus? I heard there's one near you where they have almost half their original teeth, too!
Before I moved to this area and really got to know it I had come down here a few times while in college to rent strippers to bring back to Albany for the night. Some of them were truly beautiful too, but this was 20 years ago circa 1995. The trailer the club was in burned down a while ago, I think. :'(
Jack & Cokes for Bob continuing here while wondering why don't strippers in New Yawk don't have Dental Coverage. It's a union job isn't it?

Gotta laugh. Crown Royal isn't exactly known as a high end drink in these parts. Most scotch snobs would sneer at the mere suggestion that they drink CR. Now that this silly award has been handed out, you cannot find a bottle anywhere.
I'll drink Crown & Coke as well. It makes Scotch Snobs funny to watch.
The only reason to buy Crown Royal is for the purple velvet dice bag it comes in.
Drink Canadian Club instead.
Or better yet Woodford Reserve Bourbon. O0 And not with coke!
