Nik Kershaw's new "single". His new record is due out soon (16th of october).
Haven't played anything since i have a problem with my gaming laptop has a problem with it's screen (about 3 weeks). Still, would like to play a little of
Imperiums: Greek Wars and maybe start a game of
Sword of the Stars. Have a great weekend.
More Divinity 2, and maybe some Control, Dragon's Dogma and Outlast.
Hunh. Via notice from Twitter, there seems to have been a large community made update/mod/thingy just dropped for Left 4 Dead 2, so it looks like that's going back on the HD for a bit.
And I've got plenty of stuff to physically read, so I should get cranking on that stuff too.
TTFN!
Probably DCS and No Man's Sky for the most part. Maybe I'll dabble in IL-2 BoX or Total Tank Simulator? We'll see. Its my last free weekend until the middle of October. I'll be in trial mode starting Monday.

DCS sounds good...and the usual, boardgames, HLL and so on.
Got back into board wargames after a 3 decade absence...playing Old School Tactical Vol 1 East Front 1941/1942.
Started up a new Axis campaign in
WarPlan. It took until nearly August for France to fall, but I'm now at the excruciating "calm before the storm" leading up to June 1941. :hide:
Otherwise, the endless grind of
Disgaea 5 calls my name.
Aside from that, I've gotten back into the habit of reading for pleasure. My job involves a lot of reading, editing, and writing, so it's easy to go months without reading anything in my spare time. Right now I'm burning through
No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy for the first time and loving it. When I feel ambitious I'll keep trudging through the dense prose of
Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon. Planning on starting
All the Pretty Horses by McCarthy next, but as always I've got an endless pile of historical books on my backlog as well...

<:-)
Cormac McCarthy is a damned genius.
Yes! Definitely one of the greatest living writers out there. I'll have to remember to bring him up next time I poke my head into the "What are we reading?" thread ;)
The Road left me scarred for life.
Battlestar Galactica Deadlock with new DLC for gaming and UCI road world championships on TV.
Back after a week in lovely Longboat Key, Fla. with the Wife for our Anniversary. O0 So, catching-up on chores and bills but then....some very much missed gaming. Something strategic like TOAW 4 maybe. Hope all the Grogs are having a good last weekend of September.
Happy anniversary! Go hydrate ❤️
Oh, I did. A lot. <:-)
:o
Well after 25 hours and getting to Driftwood in Divinity 2 I got bored and frustrated with overpowered enemies. Uninstalled. One day I'll go back.
Then I fired up Dragon's Dogma and the frenetic pace and dated graphics just made me feel :buck2: after just a few minutes. Uninstalled. At least I got that one for only about 8.00.
So...onward, I suppose. Maybe I'll fire up Outlast.
Spent a few minutes with Outlast. Think I will stick with this for a while and also return to Vampyr. 'Tis the season.

Sometimes I have to wonder why I do this to myself.

Wasn't familiar with Outlast so I watched the first trailer on Steam. No way....I'd have freaking nightmares for a month.
I played it until around 10pm - maybe about a half hour, and the tension rise. So I stopped and watched Session 9 🤓
Will be playing more Outlast tonight.
So far been playing mostly Halo: ODST that released on Friday afternoon for the PC Master Chief Collection. Such an awesome game. Every time I think I want to go play something else, I get drawn back in.
Getting into the true meat of Outlast (it's a very short game, between 6-8 hours) and I have almost shat myself 3 times in the last hour. Tried to get it in before the sun went down :hide:

Any game that makes you almost lose control of your bowels is probably not a game I would want to play willingly.
^I don't know your stance on horror/supernatural games. If you do like frightening movies or books, this one is a no-brainer. It's bloody and gory which I usually don't like, but interesting enough to have me keep going. And I've always had a fascination with psychiatric hospitals, like the one in Silence of the Lambs, Session 9, etc.
I just have to play it during the daylight hours :-[
After i opened this thread, Nik posted a new acoustic version of his new song...enjoy:
