Now with that out of the way. I've already gotten off to a pretty sweet start to my weekend.
Diablo 3. I found 2 legendary weapons today including a 1-hand crossbow for my demonhunter. The amazing part is I was actually playing the demon hunter who can use it. And if there is one universal truth about ARPGs you almost never find an elite piece of gear for the character you are currently playing. I also found my first green named set piece of gear. All in about a 40 minute time period. I'd found two legendary pieces of gear in the previous 160+ hours or so of gameplay.
That's it for me. Diablo 3.
Wrapping up my M2TW Britannia campaign, starting Dark Souls, maybe some Skyrim and perhaps some Third Age: Total War. And maybe getting Imperialism II.

For me Imperialism II, Eador: Genesis, and CK II.... and just maybe either Endless Space or SoTS II. Would like to finally crack open Unreal World and look at the Luftwaffe Campaign of BOB II.

I'm very seriously considering picking up VRS Hornet and Tacpac. I mean, I'm really thinking hard on it. I was going to hold out for DCS: Next but I'm getting impatient and I'm not a huge fan of DCS anyway. I'm a huge fan of its potential, but it's not there yet.

i never played any of the other tew games, i only have wmma2 and 3. it's a lot to wrap your head around especially with booking storylines, gimmicks, angles etc.. i chose to run a small company where the fans really dont care much about that stuff, they just want to see good performances in the ring. i really like it so far just have to figure out what guys can put on a good match and have good chemistry together all the while not going bankrupt! there are lots of real world mods but i just use the default database, i dont mind fictional guys. if you like pro wrestling and always say "hey i could book better shows than that" then its a no brainer as all the chatter on the forums is that this is the best version yet.

My SSD drive crashed on monday, lost my current saves for CK2 and X-Com. Luckily I had backed up my Skyrim mage on Sunday. Spent last night redownloading Skyrim mods. Tonight, I'm going to reinstall and make sure I have them all working correctly. If all goes well I should be able to start playing again sometime late tonight.
Since I lost my Kingdom of Italy CK2 game (which I haven't played in a month or two due to my skyrim addiction) I want to start a new campaign. I'm thinking this time I'm going to play as one of the English counts or dukes.
Only other thing I'm going to do this weekend is watch the Green Bay vs 49's game tomorrow night, GO PACK!
Will probably be continuing my Third Age campaign (thank you Panzerseast for posting about the update here). My thirteen year old asked me to buy him War of the Roses last night... so maybe if I watch him, I may get tempted to get a copy for myself.. maybe be up for some MP ROF or something else if people are doing anything tonight..
A little more Kingdoms of Amalur, with some Unity of Command and Russo-German War thrown in. At first I was a little turned off by the puzzle like nature of UoC, but in general almost ALL wargames are puzzles, just with varying degrees of transparency. Once I got past that, loving the game.
I'm gonna go through and update all my mods for Skyrim, looks like I've missed some good ones. And I'm about 7 turns shy from finishing the first battle of the CMBN Kampgruppe Eberbach campaign. In the 2nd battle we'll get a King Tiger to play with. Sunday is for football and wings.

Tonight...this is unusual for me, but I'm thinking maybe I'd like to fire up Fallout New Vegas. All this chatter about Skyrim has me wondering if I should revisit that world, too.
Of course, Orcs Must Die! 2 will likely make a showing.
Definitely revisit Skyrim...I love that game more than most people. Weirdly I have not attempted Fallout NV yet.

My earlier post was in error. There is no Kampgruppe Eberbach campaign for CMBN. I meant Kampgruppe "Engel" campaign and the big kitty doesn't arrive until battle 3. Sorry for the senility. By the way, the campaign to battle 2 is excellent.

I have used the channel map and the flying boat. I have bombed 4 submarines and scored no hits. I haven't seen a warship yet.
The subs dive to periscope level when they spot you, but they resurface eventually. The periscope is visible, but leaves a very small
wake.
Will definitely be playing Imperialism II this weekend. Probably also some Distant Worlds: Legends -- that, or Alpha Centauri.

I think it only works with quick missions and user missions at the moment.

The crucial also had more negative reviews then the Intel drive did at the time, but I primarily based my decision off of price. I put An Intel drive in this week and its noticeably more responsive then my crucial drive ever was.
I may have been too hasty above...I am being drawn against my will to Fallout: New Vegas.
Just picked up Evochron Mercenary which looks pretty interesting. May fire up Skyrim and, of course, Scourge of War!
I'm not exactly in a mood to game of late, so I might not play much of anything. Maybe a bit of Mount & Blade : Warband.

Intels SSD's seem to have some of the higher ratings I've seen. I use mine strictly as an OS drive. My system boot times with Win 7 and 8 are around a minute or two. System performance is good, feels more responsive then I remember a normal HDD being. I've never tried running a game or program on it and comparing performance to a normal HDD. If my new SSD hadn't been on sale I had been thinking of going back to a Western Digital Raptor HDD, but with the sale price of the SSD ended up being a little cheaper.

I wouldn't put my OS on the SSD. That would be solely for game installs that require a lot of textures and graphical performance. I've not really had any issue with slow Win7 startup times, but I keep my systray startup programs quite thin so that Windows isn't loading every little program that tries to run on startup.
I'm just not sure if I really have enough demanding games that have to draw such large doses of textures from the drive, constantly, after the initial loading into memory. I suppose it'll come in handy with the upcoming TW, though, and maybe one or two others so if I did splurge it would likely be for just a handful of game installs. Wasn't sure if it was worth spending money on if the damn thing dies after a year and a half.
Hrmm.. come to think of it, the texture loading in
Diablo 3 runs like complete sheeit so maybe that's another candidate, if I ever get back into it.

Well, I did complete my TAL AAR, I did do some minor work on my P-40 (it's made - just needs painting now) but didn't get started on my Challenger II or WaW Blood and Bridges.
I did get some time on F1 2012 - but nothing worth mentioning. I'm still trying to get the damned steering wheel to be responsive!
i FM10'd and got Harrogate into League 2 as Blue Square Premier Champions
built the very small beginnings of a IFL Normandy DLC mission - so much potential, but very deadly weapons in enclosed spaces - more sneaking required
Didnt get chance for Imp 2 but Martoks enthusing has made me go for it later tonight

Do the european leagues have amateur drafts at all?
I'm just not familiar with futbol, but I do know that the yearly drafts in american sports are one of the most fun facets in these sports sims. So much so that I couldn't bring myself to play one without it. ???
