the good news of the day is that scumbag got sentenced to death for the Ft. Hood shootings.
As long as the families of the victims don't die of old age before the sentence is actually carried out, that is...
I would like to think that military justice is a bit swifter.
No death sentence has been carried out by the military since the 60's.
This might change that. Or not.
It has taken four years to get this far. The wheels of justice turn slowly indeed. Someone should have killed the S.O.B. while he was killing (http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-fort-hood-20130829,0,2987958.story) those thirteen unfortunates and wounding the other thirty; it would have saved a lot of time, money, and wear and tear on the victims' families.
A wooden stake hammered up each nostril would have been good... just to make sure he doesn't come back.
I don't want to give him what he wants...to become a martyr. He stated that being executed would still make him a martyr.

On the downside, he didn't have to serve very long. Suicide was a quick exit.
Someone related to his capture or trial stated that Castro was too much of a coward to endure a mere month of captivity while those women survived a decade of it, under ghastly conditions. Or words to that effect.
