Quote from: Jarhead0331 on September 01, 2026, 11:15:42 AMCarrier Ops confirmed for Q1 2027!!! Five new carrier aircraft with an Essex Class Carrier to fly from.

To say I'm excited is a major understatement!

Aircraft include:

F9F-2 Panther
F2H-2 Banshee
AD-4 Skyraider
F4U-4 Corsair
FB MK.11 Sea Fury

Just awesome.

In almost equally exciting news, they also announced a Bombers DLC for the Battle of Stalingrad series. Confirmed aircraft include:

B-26B Marauder
B-25C/D Mitchell
A-20G-25 Havoc
FW-189A-2 Uhu (an interesting choice)
Some classic aircraft that are not really simulated anywhere that I know of. Always wondered what i was like to fly panthers and banshees off carriers. Cool stuff.

This has potential!

My problem is I can barely see my troops or the enemy troops. When it's the PC opponent's turn, the action happens way too fast for me to grasp what is going on.

Perhaps a flag marker like SPWAW would help.

Keep up the good work.

Pavlov's House became one of Stalingrad's most enduring legends: a handful of Soviet soldiers holding an apartment block against relentless German attacks for fifty-eight days.
The reality was more complicated—and more interesting. Our latest historical essay reconstructs how the building became part of a fortified defensive network and separates wartime experience from later legend. It also examines the observation, artillery, communications, engineering, and supply behind its defence—a small-scale struggle reflected in Squad Battles: Advance of the Reich.

Steam description doesn't seem to say. Watching the video gave me both impressions. I suspect it's either optional each way; or IGYG with reaction phases automatically processed. If the latter, we may also be looking at in-game turn playback in the video which would seem WEGO.

Campaign Series West Front - I'm really enjoying this Crete scenario. I've forgotten how well the British can fight. I'm suffering far too many causalities in these initial stages, but I'm making progress. I have set up a few kill zones which is making life a bit easier. Although, the British have done the same, especially in the new landing area northeast of Chanai!  Those blasted Bofors guns are a royal pain in the bottom. We have some timely reinforcements, so I will see what I can do for clearing up behind our landing areas and start slowly pushing out. Things are looking, well, tough.

Yeah I was pretty annoyed it was gone too, that's where I tried it on release and was disappointed, apparently they only had a deal to be on Gamepass for the first year.
