Might as well call it the weekend thread - we always talk about what we're playing at the weekend and not just Friday!

This weekend I will be mostly watching rugby. But what gaming I do get in will be X3 Albion Prelude, some Far Cry 3, making my Academy 1:35 Challenger II model and (if time permits) learning my World at War Blood and Bridges game - which I still haven't tackled yet!

I've got a lot of work to do the next few weekends, but, if anything gets played, it will be Warlock with bob.  Anything else is just gravy ;)

I'd like to do the SIMHQ Iron Front Session (Early one Saturday), but a Major Snow Storm coming, so I may be shoveling.. But other than that, I know since we we ain't going anywhere, there will be lots of gaming time!!! lol. .unless we lose power of course..

Leaving on a business trip so it's going to be netbook time again...these are the games i plan to play mostly during the next 3 weeks:

- Star Trek: Birth of the Federation (Balance of Force) as the Romulans.
- Pharao
- Broken Sword III (have got to get used to the new controls)
- Conquest: Frontier Wars
- Fragile Allegiance
- Space Colony HD
- Crusader: no remorse
- Mob rule
- HPS: Chancellorsville

Possible other games: MOO3, Starships Unlimited, Port Royal 2, Conflict: Desert Storm, Age of Wonders, Strategic War in Europe, Battlefield Academy (i know the name has changed but i don't care) and Botanicula.

JD  you should join the Iron Front game sometime, it's a good size crowd from UK.. I played the last couple weekends and it's good people and good games.. SDR turned me on to it. If you don't have IF, grab it when it's on sale.. They also play Arma 2 on Sunday (I've yet to join that one - could get in trouble with the wifey if I do too much gaming during the day - I do my share, but don't want to push it, since she's good about it)..

It's Shoot and Scoot Weekend at World of Tanks, so I'll be investing a few hours there this weekend.

Your guess is practically as good as mine regarding what else I'll be playing. Most likely a strategy game of some time. Quite possibly one of my favorite vintage games. The only thing definite is that it will be played on my PC desktop.

Yeah - I've got Iron Front. Totally pissed off with it and dropped it until I heard from JH and others about making your own scenarios through a website (name escapes me at the mo) so had been messing with that - bt I got sidetracked from that

I had also said I'd join the ArmA2 mod on Sundays - but can't seem to find my copy of ArmA2...I'm sure I bought it so I was determined to look for that before joining - then the rugby kicked off at the weekends and I'm not really in any state to play games after drinking and watching the rugby for 6 hours.

So I dropped the whole idea until the rugby has stopped - but am definitely looking to get into it (Arma2 and IF) towards the end of March when the 6 Nations finishes.

One thing that killed multiplayer for me for ALOT of games was "you need mod X, mod 3 and mod T with F, P and Q installed"...totally ruined multiplayer for me. That was quite some time ago and was mainly prevalent in simming. That and bunny hopping, headshot, autoaim, ADS players

So far, they've been playing stock IF.. both the original game and the Normand DLC.. no mods.. maps/missions download when the game starts... Co-op mostly. some PvP.. but good group of people a pleasure to play with (not screaming kids)!
