As far as Star is concerned, you're from the west, not the South.

Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

I tried to run that past Star, but he knew better  8)  I have to agree. I grew up in Texas and always thought Texas was southern because they fought for the right side Confederacy in the Civil War. Then I spent four years in Mississippi. After a very brief time there I was forced to conclude that indeed, Texas is not a southern state. Point settled.

Actually, in many ways Texas and Arizona have more in common than not. Maybe that's why I'm so comfortable in both places.

I'm from Maine. Other than our Canadian brothers, you're all from the South.

Good point.

Maine, eh? Out of curiosity, have you read any John Connolly? He writes about a Maine detective named Charlie Parker who gets involved in all kinds of scary supernatural crap up in those deep Maine woods. He's one of my favorite authors. And the funny thing is, he writes of Maine like he lives there....but he's Irish. As in "born and lives in Ireland" Irish.

Me too, Star. Our gameplan once my wife graduates is to target Austin, Dallas and San Antonio for relocation, followed by OKC since our kids are there. I've wanted to live in Austin all my life. The only place in Texas that can kiss my behind is Houston. Lived there 23 years and not going back.

I haven't read any John Connolly but I'll check him out. There's plenty about Maine that would make you believe in the supernatural. I've traveled to places in western Maine that made me understand where Stephen King must have come up with some of his ideas. Places where you realize if I break down here after dark I'm not getting out.

Here is his Amazon page  http://www.amazon.com/John-Connolly/e/B000APOEIY/ref=ntt_athr_dp_pel_pop_1

The first book in the series is "Every Dead Thing". There are no bad books in the series. No letdowns, no ehhhhh....middle books. And what's this....he just published the 11th book in the series and I don't have it!

Fixed that.
