Amnesia or Penumbra

Steam currently has both on sale for cheap and I'm in the mood for some horror gaming.

Who likes what and why?

Amnesia, it is scarier than Penumbra and looks more gooder. Plus the puzzles are challenging but not ridiculously so.

Well if it looks more gooder who can argue with that?  Sold!

The biggest difference is that Penumbra has combat, Amnesia does not.  But yeah, I'd have voted for Amnesia too.  I hope you manage more of it than I did - turns out I am a big girly man. :(

Combat, eh?  Well crap.  I just blew $5 on Amnesia based on Gus' gooder analysis.

I actually liked that Amnesia had no combat. Amnesia is special...really scary because it gets in your head and messes with it. Big time.

I've been advised to shut off the lights and put on head phones.

^Definitely. Wait until dark if that is an option. And don't be a puss.

Don't promise that yet. You may be surprised at what starts to become frightening.

Yeah Gus is right, the lack of combat is a big plus.  Besides, the combat in Penumbra sucked.

Amnesia is almost based on the fact that the player can't fight back, and is basically worthless except for his brain.

And the combat in Penumbra was pretty sucky.

Well it should be interesting to play a game where you cannot fight back against the antagonists.
