Brogue Tiles

Some of you may already know of a fine exploratory and visually stunning ASCII roguelike called Brogue. Whilst the effects in the original Brogue are to be applauded using pure ASCII and artistic colouring, I think the world of dungeon exploring through this game could be enhanced and brought to more people, if it could just be nudged out of the pure ASCII realm.

Well this fellow Oryx has done just that, added some subtle silhouette graphic tiles to the Brogue game. And he's called it Brogue Tiles. If you've been shy of roguelikes in the past, you might wonder at the amazing sight of Brogue Tiles.

The sprites used are just enough to push the game into "more acceptable" by the ASCII flinching folks. :)

Thanks for the pointer! Never heard of it, but it does look like a solid roguelike! :D
