Me too bud. I really liked Civ III but it totally burned me out.

Other than that some 1st person shooters and RPGs and all sort of Air Combat Flight Simulators when it comes to dogfighting...maybe that's why i love the bomber role so much ;D

And I just lost my latest campaign in Fall of the Samurai...it took three other factions to combine forces and finally destroy me, but they eventually did it. Back to the drawing board.

Picking an imperial clan this time, the Choshu. Short campaign (14 provinces, assist the Emperor in securing 35 provinces), normal difficulty.

Might play some Mark of the Ninja and/or modded Civ V with an Asian theme to cleanse my pallet first and then return.
