IDK about that.  a lot of interesting stuff happened in s2.  it just seemed to drag on when it first aired.

Yeah, the final two episodes at Herschal's farm kicked butt. The zombie herd and Herschel's shotgun stand were classics.

the zeds in the barn with Sophia was a hell of an episode.  having Rick step up and shoot her in the head was brilliant.
Daryl messed up in the woods.  Glenn getting laid.  the standoff at the bar.  lots of good stuff but the babymommadrama really screwed with the overall feel of it.

No I am purposely not reading them as I don't it want it to spoil any of the show.  However, I look forward to one day reading them when they are far enough into the TV show.

Yeah I am definitely glad they've changed from the comic book in some regards. Although you can definitely see some callbacks or acknowledgements to the comic RE: Merle's hand.

I was expecting some sort of gimmick character or someone off the wall like most 90's shows had. These are great!
