Maybe I should play something beyond Ghost Recon Online, especially since I keep buying more stuff?  ;D

I'm thinking Hitman Absolution, but that will be punted aside in favor of Far Cry 3 if I end up grabbing it this weekend. And I need something strategy-ish, so perhaps I really WILL spend some time with Men of War Assault Squad or I'll look at Fallen Enchantress.

Since 'gaming' PC was packed away, I installed John Tiller's Civil War Battleground series on my laptop.. Boy, even though it it 'tiny' resolution was, it was a heck of a lot prettier than the more current HPS games. The map that is..

Like MetalDog, I've been in kind of a funk the last day or two.

Think I'm gonna go back to playing Distant Worlds: Legends for now, as it's the only game I've really been into lately.  (I've been trying to get into Space Empires IV, but I've just not been feeling it this week.)  Maybe some good old Shogun Total War too; that sounds kind of appealing.

Playing Tales of Maj'Eyal (aka TOME4) today.

Damn is this a fun turn-based RPG.  I've always enjoyed it - and it's free!  Even officially out of beta now, too.

Not much gaming here- heading to Waikiki for the weekend.  But, I bought DCS: Combined Arms last week so if I have a chance to install that on Sunday I'm hoping to spend some time with it.

I'm hoping it's a fun, beer and pretzels armor game.

Civ 5, March of the Eagles, and I've finally gotten around to Torchlight 2.  I recently had a computer meltdown so I had to reinstall Panzer Corps.  What a pain. I hope they're going to consolidate all of the DLC as some point. Anyway a little of PC too.

Wow. I didn't know that the ground game portion was already out. I'll have to take a look.

Started playing Far Cry 3. Holy crap! Here's a big island to play in...have fun! Kill animals for hides to make new containers and holsters from. Collect plants to make medicines from. Kill bad guys to take outposts and enable more fast travel locations. Take down radio tower scramblers to open new areas. Missions everywhere. Bad guy patrols all over the place. And then, when you think you've seen it all, you're attacked by a goddamn jaguar.  :o ;D

It's been kind of an Operational/Strategic European warfare weekend for me, with time split between Rise of Prussia and SC:WWI.  I picked up Scourge of War: Chancellorsville but I think I'm going to wait until later in the week to relearn the Scourge of War interface.

I'm finding my preference these days is running heavily toward games where I get to be the CinC and order formations around rather than micro-manage.  I wish the Tiller games did a better job of this; I enjoy the subject matter but get tired of pushing all of the chits around.

Glad you're enjoying the game!  Far Cry 3 is a masterpiece.
