The force is strong with this one. Set in the steampunkish floating city of Columbia, I do not know if I can resist its pull. Plus it got a glowing early review from IGN (for consoles):

If the console version is that good, I can't be expected to hold out very long when the PC version is released this week. Anyone else chomping at the bit like me? Note I have not played either of the previous Bioshock games.

Been debating this one myself....greenmangaming has a decent deal for getting it around $45 and you get three free games with it....

I somehow ended up pre-ordering it in a moment if weakness about a month ago.  The Gamersgate pre-order included a copy of the original Bioshock, $20 back in in-store credit, a copy of XCOM, and your choice of on of the following games:  Bioshock 2, Spec Ops-The Line, Mafia 2, The Darkness 2, or Civ V.

I thought that was a pretty good offer except I already owned every one of the giveaway games except Bioshock 2 and Darkness 2.

Crap, I ordered direct from Steam and got none of that. Note: Greenmangaming sometimes is slow with getting the codes (see the Omerta thread).

BTW, Steam did give me a free copy of the new XCOM if anyone with Steam is interested.

I really like Bioshock and Bioshock 2, so I'll be getting this one at some point in the future.

That is for sure...but at the prices/deals GMG have been offering of late, I am getting to the point where waiting an extra day or two is fine.  Most of these games are released during the week while I work so I have very little time to play on release day anyway.

Were you given your XCOM copy already, SoM?  I wasn't.  I wonder if that's because I already owned a copy via gamersgate?

Other than being slow, is Green Man Gaming reliable? I've never used them.

They're OK but I prefer Gamersgate because their service is usually faster.

Yeah, I think so. I'm really kicking myself for not checking Gamersgate first. Although I have the game pre-loaded, which is nice.
