And I played Shadow Magic.  I see where Warlock Master of the Arcane got some of its inspiration.  And I don't know who Notch is either.

I don't know what the relation between Triumph, AoW and Notch is, that it makes it such a glorious thing. Talk about a man's reputation. :)
Still, if he helped fund the project I am glad he did!
Now let's hope the game will become as great as Shadow Magic.

None that I'm aware of.  Apparently Notch is just a fan of the series and wanted to see a third instalment. :)

it would appear by some small miracle the AOW team contacted him and he has decided to throw his millions behind the development - reading up on it it means there wont be a pushy publisher behind the scenes poking for early release and the team will be allowed to just get on with the writing of the game

Grumpy mode ON, I guess that's in the air. Immediate pleasure and reward. Start to fight 3 hexs apart and kill the enemy unit in one blow, etc. ;)
