You're brave. Star Trek games are such an iffy proposition.

There have been some good ones IMHO.
Final Unity was an awesome TNG adventure game that really resembled a long episode of the show.
The Armada series was pretty neat at its time.
The Starfleet/Klingon Academy was pretty good.
Some folks love Bridge Commander or whatever it was called.
Birth of the Federation was nice.

Just to name a few :)

Shattered Universe was an abomination. Star Trek: Legacy was middling. DAC was a waste of time. For every good ST game there's at least one crappy one.  :P

Btw Klingon Academy is truly excellent and has a permanent place in my game collection.

The "reboot" just pisses me off everytime I think about it. There was no need to create an alternate timeline... or what the hell ever they did. They could have conformed to cannon with little effort, but his ego got in the way.

I am glad to see a new Star Wars coming out, but I am a little fearful too.

The first 2 Starfleet Command games where awesome, had a good sized multiplayer following. Then Activision got ahold of it and ruined it.

Big +1 here.  I really enjoy the capital ship combat, and seeing Plummer and Warner reprise their roles from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country is always a delight.  (Hearing the voice-work from Takei and Dorn is a treat as well!)

fyi:  $39.95 pre-order at GameStop

p.s.  While you may have to still download/install the Gamestop app to buy the game, "This game requires the Steam client to install & play."  Once you get the Steam key, I imagine you can uninstall the Gamestop app.
