Wow! still alive. And they're making it compatible with Win8.
I just played version 6 last month.

I've never bought this. I did love the original MBT - but graphics are "almost" everything to me...so I never took the plunge here.

Interesting to see there are new features only available in the CD version. I wonder why that is?

Its because the CD version is the version you buy from them. There is a free to play version with some limitations like screen resolution and now also info about hexes. I have the cd version but haven't played it for a long time. Its a great game, and especially in PBEM.

The free version goes a long way, unless you really want to have "HD"  graphics.

I need great graphics in my games. I'll get by on good. The graphics on that game were fine in the 90's - but they make my eyes bleed now.

Was a great game in it's day - and as it's only been enhanced - I assume is still a great game. But I couldn't play it looking like that.

Shame. There are some great games out there that need a graphics overhaul. I guess when people buy them looking the way they do, then a new graphics overhaul is just sugar and doesn't add any sales.

I really do not understand how this has not been remade- they are so popular. I have the same problem as Dread and especially with this one as I can't always see the units against background.
