This got caught up in my TF2 net (I can quit at any time, I tell you!), but it caught my eye because I haven't played a good poker game in a long while.  And it is only $5 on Steam.

Hmmm...since I know I'm going to buy this, I'd be willing to do the pre-order and gift my excess copy of the original to anyone else who might be interested. Lemme know, folks.

No worries. It's an amusing little game, particularly if you like at least a couple of the characters involved.

I was jealous of Huw and AB having the game and not me, so I went all-in.

Unfortunately I don't have PN1 so I'm going to keep that.

Too bad there's no multiplayer!

I picked the game up, too.   ;D  I'm not much of a poker player, so the game actually taught me a thing or two about Texas Hold 'em.  I must be a quick learner because I have since moved on to the hard difficulty and I am winning some.   :)

There is a surprising amount of banter in this game.  Some of the longer bits repeat quickly, but there are a lot of little exchanges that keep surprising me just when I thought I heard it all.  It was also smart of TT to give you the option of turning it all off when you do finally hear it all. 

I think I am looking forward to PN2 a bit more since playing this game because with the exception of the TF Heavy I am finding the other characters to be mostly annoying.  Tycho is a foul-mouthed jerk, Sam looks demonic, and the Mucha Lucha guy is just plain annoying.   ;D

BTW: Speaking of Strong Bad, is his sole claim to fame this video?

Picked this up from Steam yesterday afternoon myself; played PN1 last night on regular difficulty, won my first tourney almost-handily (down to me and Max, and I was way ahead, but then I kept getting dealt crappy hands until I equalized the score a bit. Beat his final bluff with a flush that was also a low straight but not a straight flush. Can't believe he went all in on such a crappy hand, I think he had a pair of nines and he should have seen there were three clubs on the table...)

I'm enjoying PN1!  The banter between the characters is amusing and I really like Hold 'Em anyway.  I'm not finding it much of a challenge on normal difficulty though, so I'll bump it up next time.
