Leviathan: Warships Taking Pre-orders Ahead of Ship Date
Cross-platform Title Offers Pre-order Bonuses; Jazzy New Trailer Surfaces

NEW YORK — April 17, 2013 — Paradox Interactive, a publisher of games and a scraper of barnacles, today began accepting pre-orders for their new strategic action game, Leviathan: Warships, developed by Pieces Interactive. The game, scheduled to launch on April 30, 2013 for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android platforms, can be purchased early for PC and Mac from digital distributors today for $9.99. All seafarers who pre-order Leviathan: Warships will be given the "Marauders" DLC Pack, which includes a batch of the game's most heavily armored (albeit slowest) ships and an extra set of flags to adorn players' fleets. In Leviathan: Warships, players will choose from a wide array of ship and weapon types to build a personalized fleet and fight battles in a unique blend of action and turn-based gameplay. Captains can take their time to plot out their turn, assigning moves and attacks to their ships, and then witness the chaos of battle as each fleet engages their maneuvers in simultaneous action sequences. With Leviathan: Warships, Paradox puts the sea in the cloud, allowing players to start a session from their tablet and continue their cloud-saved skirmish from their computer, challenging foes on any available device.

Mind you, they really screwed Catalyst over by taking the name Leviathans :P
Now if they'll ever be able to raise enough money for funding the development of their digital adaptation of the tabletop miniatures game,
there will be a battle over the name "Leviathans" :D

When I can look it over at a proper PC and not a phone maybe I will get more excited. If single player is deep and there is some kind of era system to set up in single player games, I will preorder myself.

Bawb you old so and so...looking forward to watching the trailer and such. To be honest the one thing I didn't like was the inclusion of modern weapons. When I read Leviathan I think giant 18 inch deck guns.

I think it's steampunky, but with health bars. So a kind of naval RTS.

If there is even a whiff of steampunk about it I will have to get it. I will thoroughly probe it's innards when I get home. A good single player bit would be nice too. Challenge accepted Bawb. CLANG
