No More Skyrim DLC

I find it fun to play with a map mod that shows only the main roads and all the secondary roads and trails are removed. It keeps traveling and exploring interesting after all the hours i have played.

I have 500 hours into it. The next closest game for me is CK2 with 100 hours played. Even after all that time I'm still finding new stuff. Sure a lot of the quest are fetch and kill quests. But for me the fun is just roaming around and finding random dungeons that I might have walked by hundreds of times. And no other game even comes close to the beautiful screen shots that you can take in Skyrim. Sometimes I will just wonder around for half a day trying to find the perfect shot.

I've also used Skyrim screen shots for desktop wallpaper, probably the only game I have done that with. Ashamedly, I am just now getting ready to play my first game of CKII.

Yeah, I tend to wander a little too much and forget where I was going to begin with. I recently did a quest connected to Fort Sungard I think it was and of course I had to check-out every tower and walkway and while at the very top, the sun was setting. I just stood there for the next several minutes as the sun went down and the stars came out and was struck by the beauty of the distant mountains and clouds passing. Something you could never explain to someone who never played the game. I thought then, Tolkien would love this game. How can they leave us without more content?

I have taken screenshots of exactly those knds of moments. Other games are beautiful but Skyrim connects on a human level sometimes that just leaves me in awe.

I wiped out my vanilla game and few mods and reinstalled the recommended mods above and some extra... and wow, whole new game! I was far along in my vanilla, but the restart with the mods has been totally worth it! A new game....

I think it is because we all wish we could see those kind of majestic views but know that in our life time the opportunity will be rare if not nonexistent.

I've put a few hours into Dragonborn...really enjoying it. It brings back fond memories of playing Morrowind years ago. As others have stated, Skyrim is an incredible gaming experience.

I enjoyed the Dawnguard DLC while most were 'meh' about it. Rayfer can you compare the two DLCs? I just picked up Dragonborn a few days ago, haven't started it yet.

I have read that Dragonborn opens up the entirely knew, large part of Skyrim called Solsteim while Dawnguard, to many, felt short and not worth the price.

I've been playing through as the vampire hunters. I'm enjoying it. Although I think like Dragonborn more.

Dawnguard takes place within the existing game world map but adding new locations, etc. I enjoyed it, played it as a Dawnguard against the vampires. Dragonborn is an entirely new area, an island off the coast of Skyrim. If you played Morrowind you'll enjoy what they did in Dragonborn. I'm still only a few hours in so I can't compare it to Dawnguard which I have finished to the end. IMHO....the key to both dlc's is the same as the key to Skyrim; don't rush through the main quest line...enjoy the many, many side quests, some of which are quite interesting while others are the old fetch this, kill this stuff, but still fun, and just explore to uncover all it has to offer.

I have not, but I think I will be.

One of my favorite house mods is the Halls of Dovahndor. As far as I know its the biggest player home for Skyrim at the moment.
