Apparently...there's confusion.

This is weird, because multiple outlets were confirming a suspect in custody. Boston Herald, CNN, Fox - pretty much everyone confirmed it.

Looks like all the news outlets got a little overeager and jumped the gun on calling an arrest.

I heard, on local radio this morning that they are looking for two men.  At least one is a Saudi national.

What's odd to me is that no one seems to be seeking attention for this. Bombers usually want personal attention (even if only in a masked anonymous supervillain sort of way).

Unless there's a particular target they simply want eliminated. Are there any suggestions of a target?  ???

Probably wrong here, but think that many of the Nihilists in the early 20th century believed they would have a lengthy struggle.  They kept their names out of the news because they desired the downfall of the existing political structures.  Keeping it secret made it harder for the security and secret police, and contributed to the atmosphere of paranoia that supposedly fostered their goals.

I'm not sure it's desperation as much as it what I call operational psychosis. Whoever is doing this stuff is so buried in paranoia that their processes (if not the people themselves) have lost a grip on the line between plausibility and fantasy.

FBI press conference right now showing pictures of persons of interest.  Its a live video so no link yet.


*edit fbi.gov is suppose to have the photos but it looks like the site is down right now.
