It does seem however to not support hotseat :(

Played the tutorial so far.  Just gives the basics.  May not really need one, but I've not seen or found a manual.  I did find that the spacebar=Commit, so there may be other controls not documented.  They've already put out one patch, but that seems to be mostly server-related.  Anyone know if you can use the Marauder DLC in single player?  Not seen a way to do so (yet).

Is it worth getting purely for Single Player ?

From the description on Steam it looks heavily weighted towards if not exclusively Multiplayer.

There is an ability to play offline. I downloaded the game and am working through the tutorials now.

Their servers were getting pounded earlier so they've added two more.

I'm also experiencing some network issues, so I'm not able to determine whether it's them or me.

The game reminds me a bit of Dystopian Wars. There are hits, misses, critical hits. Systems get taken out. It's not quite as complex as DW but I see the outline of what looks to be an interesting and light naval skirmish game.
