Chechnya is well known for brutal and well trained Islamic extremists.   They were on the battlefield in Iraq and are in Afghanistan.   They've committed some hyenious crimes in Chechnya, Russia, and else where.   It might behoove some here to check their agenda attitudes at the door instead of posting their internal bullshit here just to be a smart ass especially given the circumstances surrounding this terror attack.

i wonder if criminals like those two really have a political / religious agenda? or if this is some kind of sick late teen psycho angst whatever?

after all they lived in the us, got support to do studies and what not. sounds like they were privileged kids living in a foreign country that has not much of a history with their motherland.

At the end of the day, is what their agenda was really that important?  If investigations lead to evidence of a larger network, great.  Hopefully if there are any more bad guys, they can can be rolled up.  It's not like the actions of these criminals will further their cause though. (Unless their cause was to increase the police state).

What's far more worrying to me is what effect this will have on our already denuded civil liberties in the name of public safety.
