Sorry, no Fallout 4 to announce.  Instead, Bethesda has announced a new "survival horror" title called The Evil Within.  Not much to tell from the following trailer other than it seems to be trying to achieve a Rob Zombie tone.   ;D



Not sure what I think yet.  Really, I only remain interested because of the "survival horror" tag - something that always gets my attention. 

Speaking of which: picked up Metro 2033 for $5 on GameFly yesterday and I am loving it!  8)

Dark, gory horror...but the trailer didn't show anything much of actual gameplay.  Not excited at this point.

Actual gameplay details are being withheld until this coming Monday.  IGN has an exclusive reveal.  So...we'll see.

Rob Zombie... <shakes head> That trailer was 100% Clive Barker all the way. It looks like Hellraiser to me. Which could be good, could be idiotic.

Yeah, you're right.  I couldn't think of Barker's name, so I went with Zombie instead.   ;D

I'd rather have Fallout 4. I can see Bethesda wanting to start some new IP's. They probably don;t want to get into the same rut as series like Battlefield and call of duty are in where it basically the same game coming out year after year. Another zombie/horror/survival game, that's been done to death.
PanzersEast: Have to think to myself.... will I play the first one by the Winter Sale?  Probably not, then I should remove Dragonfall
PanzersEast: but that is thinking too logically.... and Steam Sales are about ignoring Logic

They do have Dishonored to break up their catalogue. Hopefully there's something more to The Evil Within to separate it from the pack.

Thanks, but no.  If they were trying to do something different, doing the same survival horror thing everyone else is doing seems pointless.  Maybe they can make it MP only as well.

Time to load up Morrowind and wait for this to all blow over.  ;)

I liked Fallout New Vegas much, much more than Fallout 3.  Haven't played Dishonored, but I'll play the new Tomb Raider and Bioshock before that one.

You might still get a Fallout 4.  This game is being published by Bethesda but is being developed by a different studio (Tango Gameworks).  That leaves Bethesda's internal studio free.  Seeing how they announced that the development cycle for Skyrim has ended, I suspect Fallout 4 has taken Skyrim's place in the queue.
