In all likelihood he'll be charged with a Federal crime, which will carry the death penalty.

In exchange for his life, he'll have to sing like a bird.

It would be nice to see him charged as an enemy combatant and sent to Gitmo, but I doubt this administration has the balls to do that. There is also the minor detail of him now being a US citizen. It's likely he qualifies as an enemy combatant despite his citizenship, but I don't have much hope.

...and in other news:  I JUST got a call on a static-y phone line (read: skype) from a man with a decidely S. Asian accent asking if I would be willing to contribute to the Boston Marathon Bombing Relief Fund.

Unfortunately (and I hope board members don't hold this against me), I was unable to contribute as most of my discretionary funds are already committed to helping the son of the Minister of the Interior of Nigeria free his imprisoned father from a corrupt regime.

Jack, good call. At least you know the Nigerian thing is for real and not a scam. I know my spam email account has been flooded with email stating that a "video link to the Boston explosion" was enclosed or words to that effect. The spammers, scammers and slime never miss an opportunity, do they?

I read he uploaded a bunch of radical YouTube vids.

How is it that my hard drive can be scanned for ten years despite the fact that I've done nothing worse than get a traffic ticket, yet these guys can attend a radical mosque, travel to Chechnya, upload insane videos, get interviewed by the FBI...and we still can't figure out they're bad guys?

I'm missing something.

Your hard drive will spin for a prolonged period of time. Shut down all programs. Check to see if AV is scanning.

That's a good indicator...especially when correlated to a post about current events you just made or something on breaking news.

My hdd spun up at least half a dozen times on Friday alone. It would be comical if it weren't so obviously off base.
