Well this already exists. You have to use the PBEM++ servers to play most of the new releases. You have to have a registered account and a registered serial code.

Don't get me wrong. I like the PBEM++ servers. They are easy to use and make swapping turns easy. But if for some unfortunate reason down the road and the PBEM++ servers are no longer availible, there is some question how or if multiplayer support would be supported.

From the number of posts I see regarding people not owning WitP:AE due to it's price, or asking for a one being given away, we could easily deduct that the high price point is keeping a sizable percentage of potential customers from buying, no? :P

Yes, it would cost me between R500 to R800 each - that is very expensive and I have wanted to own them for a long time.

True, the only reason I ever looked at WitP was because it was cheaper than WitP AE.

No- thank you very much UCG. But I really think it would be wasted on me. My point was I actually would buy it if it was £20 - and get round to playing it when I could. But I would drop the 20 on it. It's different if someone gives you soemthing - you feel compelled to play to make their generosity worth while and I just don't have the time at the moment.

Not the £60 being asked for it...and why not the £60? Because surely I would play it?

HEY!! Maybe that's why I'm not paying £60 for it...because I would feel compelled to play it against all other games....being as I sunk money into it. I mean....I did exactly that with WitE...NOT. £70 I spent on that (I can't remember how much I paid - it was about that...I did try and look in my receipts email folder but it's so full of STEAM purchases and boardgame purchases I just couldn't find them!) and I got more time out of Unity of Command. But that can't be right...that goes totally against wargame publishers research!

oh well. Done here. The donkey is well beaten...but they are talking shite.

That is incredibly generous UCG. Those games are priced very high. You could easily make some money out of them.

ive had 6 or 7 years out of them - on an hourly cost basis its fractions of a penny for the entertainment theyve provided - all thanks to les the sarge and jarhead some 7 years ago on the WG forum which is how i got started!

Anyway - i dont mind passing the torch on - id rather one of you guys had it than some randomer on ebay wholl probably sell it on anyway - i will check to make sure youre still playing it in 2020!!!!

Probably OT but is WitP the one with the Win 7 problem? I checked my WitP AE, UV and WPO after upgrading and no problem.
