Is that the Total Conversion mod?

I've been holding off for a while, but with sale on, and many problems apparently fixed...

Also, what does Crossfire have to do with it?

That mod isn't a total conversion.  It just adds several new weapons, some artwork changes and a couple of "bugs" that some in the community needed fixing (aesthetical stuff with the NPC's mainly).

Crossfire (and there's others) appear to be add-ons (what are they called now, "DLC's"?).  It looks that one continues the mission after you've cleared the island.  I'll have to see if I get that far first.

Crossfire is a standalone expansion (i.e. a sequel with the same engine); I was wondering whether the mod affected it.

Now that I think of it, if it's a standalone the mod probably doesn't. Oh well, I can worry about that later.

That's the one I picked up.  Probably won't get around to playing it for months.  :o

More streamlined, easier and faster to play but retaining the same tactical options and feel. No fog of war. Bad camera angle.
They did take out some strategic micromanagement.
