Do you want me to go ahead and try and create a fighter like I  mentioned earlier?

Tent make whatever class you want.  We don't have a fight yet so that'd be cool. 

1.  No spears in game except those thrown by monsters
2.  Use the pre-planned character paths if you are completely unsure what you are doing.  You can always do thing to rebuild or remake a character if you don't like them.

Windy and I had a pretty fun time last night running through the starter level dungeons.  I think we only party wiped one time IRRC.  Not too shabby. 

I have no idea what I'm doing as a magic user.  It's a class I never really play a lot before so this should be interesting.   Although I might need to role up a rogue or rogue dual class so we have a trap monkey in the group.

I picked the monk's ninja-spy subclass so it may have some trap ability. Not sure about that yet, but maybe.

Just checked and my current toon (level 4 Human Male Fighter) is in the Canith shard.
How do I move shards exactly? :P

There might be a paid service otherwise reroll and save some cash to buy an adventure pack.  8)

But I've already invested a bit of dough into this one. :(

EDIT: Ohh well. Seems to be cheaper to roll a new one anyway. Character transfer is 25$ , which is insane.

The ninja-spy is all about sneaking attacks.  The 2 skills that a rogue must have are disable device and open lock and of course all those thief type skills' hide, sneak, move silently and tumble.

What I can do is dual class my magic user.  So I can reroll which is not a huge issue and go magic user/thief.  There's some "tricks" to ensure you maximize your rogue skills with only a level or two of rogue.  The key is to take the rogue level first, because you need all the skill points to start off maxed on your thief skills.  The second thing you need on a dual class is a 14+ INT score to get extra skill points when you level up in your other class so you can continue to keep disable device maxed.

I had a great time dungeon crawling with Biso' [pronounced Bee-zo] last night.

Our epic level fights were like freaking monty python sketches ... with a classic "oh oh" when I realized I no longer had a barbarian henchman to assist us

plus the sudden realization that the damn spider attacking our party that had super immunities to my melee attacks .... was actualy Biso' s summoned monster....

we did get some pretty good swag for our efforts too

Yeah.  The paths are nice but the descriptions are vague.

Druid is fun.  I've got a lower level one.  Healer/Fighter hybrid is always nice, but as with all things.  Make a class you like to play and the game will be more fun.

Well my cleric was gone at the same point too and yet the heroic duo was able to slay many monsters and collect the loot!
