Lately have a desire to play this classic again.   Does anybody know if the version on Gamer's Gate will work as well on a modern Win7 machine as the version on GOG?  The GOG one is more expensive.  Also, trying to remember, is this a fix resolution game that is not going to look good on my big screen monitor?

Finally, is JA BIA worth getting?  I remember when this game came out last year that it was panned pretty hard.  Any improvements in the last year on it?

We had a JA thread going not too long ago.  I picked up the series from the GOG website and they run and look fine.  I also picked up JA:BIA (Our local Half-Price Books store had them) and it's a nice version of the game with some nice graphics (as compared to JA2).  I read the reviews of JA:BIA and yes, it got slammed pretty hard but with the release of the last patch that addressed most of the issues that critics had raised, it's a solid game.  I'm in a campaign now and the AI is tough.  Well, I guess it's not a brilliant AI, they just overwhelm you mostly but it's some good fun.

Ah yes, thanks for linking to that for me.  Nice mod that adds several more weapons and fixes a couple of more nagging things (gives the baddies combat fatigues instead of their blue jeans and t-shirts that came with the game among other things).
