Bethesda announces Wolfenstein The New Order

Definitely interested in seeing how this comes along. The Wolfenstein games are usually fun simply because it's such a weird game world that devs can pretty much throw every single crazy idea in that they come up with.

I liked the original Escape from Castle Wolfenstein and the sequel on the Apple II+.  I didn't really like the ID shooters.

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was one of the best first person shooters I ever played. No monsters just great objective based team play the classes worked so well together and i think it has never been matched.

i did  [:)]   ... some time ago on a C64 

"schweinehund schweinehund" (even so only 64k memory for the whole game! ...it had some cool  -unbelievable to be possible for that time- audio speech bits  [8)] )

when i see what is possible now (i explored DCS world a little more yesterday ) ... the digital evolution age is just: mindblowing!

We are all privileged to have lived in this time period, to witness to see it all [:)] ....and there is more to come.

me, getting exited over the first calculator which had only + - * /  and % -function, and green led digits as a kid
... to maybe a personal "C3PO-kind of"-assistant, probably from Samsung or Apple (or whoever will be the 'Samsung vs Apple-like' competing companies then)   ...well, in the nursing home, 3 decades to go (if lucky)   [;)]

I've played the last three Wolfenstein pc games and had a riot since I enjoy first-person-shooters. For their time they were among the best shooters and the plot and missions were great. There is definitely a draw if you like fps, killing Nazis, and playing a somewhat smart aleck soldier. I hope this new one continues with the general theme and play style while implementing latest technology in graphics and sound. I hope there is also vehicle driving. Too few shooters have driving although there have been a few lately. Why can't there be more tank, half-track, and aircraft interaction?

I like tough smart-aleck heroes in fps like the one in the first Far Cry...Jack Carver or whatever his name was. Also great dialogue to go along with humorous situations even though it's supposed to be a serious game/plot.

The bottom line draw is shooting fun.
