CMFI: Gustav Line - Its Out!

According to the official forums, looks like we can expect to see Combat Mission Fortress Italy - Gustav Line in the next few days, if they don't run into any last minute issues.  Yesterday, they said it should be released in the next two days, whether that means Sunday or Monday, don't know:)

If Pentecost Monday is not a holiday (like here) in the USA, Monday make sense for  a release for support reasons

Do you have to have Fortress Italy to get this? If so, kind of a bummer.. Have Normandy and Commonwealth.. but not going to buy another full game to get a 'module'..

I have to admit I love CMBN but thanks to undercovergeek my only interest in playing it now is by PBEM.  That sort of makes these modules (Italy) not as important for me as in the past.

I will probably buy them but will hold out until they bundle them together (I only have the CMBN and Commonwealth as well).

PS if anyone else wants to do PBEM let me know I need to set up multiple games to try and get my fix :>

Pretty certain the answer is yes since considered a module.  But the price is only $35 versus $55 of complete game.  But of course if you don't own both, would have to buy the eventual bundle or buy them separately.

Nobody releases software on a Sunday or Monday, I would expect mid-late week, there's always one more thing before release. I'm interested to see what the bundled (CMFI + Gustav Expansion) price will be.  I don't have CMBN and the maps in CMFI/Gustav look a lot more interesting. Surprised they haven't released a bundle for CMBN (CMBN + 2.0 + CW module), guess we have to wait for the Market Garden Expansion.

Are there any extreme terrain height map scenarios in FI? I seem to recall at least a map or two in CMAK that had some interesting terrain to fight over.

Don't know...that is what the developer posted on Friday, so we'll see....I would highly doubt Sunday as well, but I wouldn't rule out Monday.  It seems digital developers seem to be more flexible in their release dates.  One of my favorite sports game developers typically release their games on Friday nights/Saturdays.  Either way, not a big deal for me.

Well, to be honest I found it a bit of a strange post by steve. BF never usually do that and as for it being released on a sunday - well, they dont even release on a friday so cant see it myself - either that that is  what he actually meant or why they would see the need for it....

Personally - hope I am wrong - as I cant wait for it.
