That's for the CMBN 1.0 engine (READ This is Game Engine v1.0), if you buy that you still need to buy the CMBN 2.0 upgrade if you want the complete up to date game!!!! This type of crap makes buying CM products so confusing, who the hell else sells different versions of same game? See what happens when you start sell updates?

But you seem to have it figured already - so hows it confusing ?

As I understand it - they are only selling the base 1.0 game for a short while - then it will be 2.0 as standard and wont need the upgrade. Hang fire a bit and you will get what you want.

I gave up trying to figure out the method of BF's madness a long time ago but it must be working for them since they haven't sold out to Slitherine yet to avoid going under.  8) They could probably create some small addons like map packs and such, then sell them for the same price as the upgrade and make up the difference if not more. That would keep the base involved since you get everyone up to the next version at no cost to the end user and incentivise loyalty buys through the map packs. Heck they could probably do a sort of map kickstarter and generate some profit that way. Maybe more than they might think.

I was annoyed by the patch too, so don't get me wrong SgtRock.  Then I realized it's still cheaper than most forms of entertainment and helps fund the continued development of some of my favorite games.  In the end, if you want a complete bundle you can wait for it to come out.  Combat Mission Shock Force is now a complete bundle, but only after it's development cycle ended.  So the choice is to wait for a series development cycle to end and get it all in one or pay for the game's development as it comes out.  In the case of CMBN, that development cycle includes the $10 version 2.0 patch.  IMO it was worth $10, but I understand that not everyone feels the same way.

Sorry, should have clarified.....I pre-ordered and had a download link they sent when I placed my order.  Link is now active and downloading it from there. I bet if you ordered now, you would get it by the link too...probably just not up in the store yet.
