New upcoming AJE/BoR expansion

For those of us enjoying Alea Jacta Est and/or Birth of Rome, AGEOD is preparing to release the newest expansion. No details yet but this:

"5 scenarios on the next expansion, with a theater biggest than BOR.

And the Romans are opposed to the same ennemi : not the Gauls or the Carthaginians but the !AAAAarrgl ! ! ! ...

I'm thinking the Parthian guess is probably it, for the position of "Aaargh!" in this DLC.

Yeah, can't imagine what else it could be? Dacians? By then this included republic and imperial scenarios so probably not

They also mentioned that they are considering a "second Punic war" expansion for BOR before the end of the year.

I've been toying around with getting these the past few days. It sounds like I ought to take the plunge to have at least one of them to play this weekend while I'm once again not going to the Indy 500.

I'm pretty sure the 2nd Punic War expansion is a sure thing, from what I've read.

AJE/BOR is my favorite of the AGEOD bunch. Sure, the setting helps boost that opinion but I also find the scenarios more interesting and the extra grand strategy facets are pretty cool too.

Just note that AJE covers the Roman vs Roman conflicts near the end of the Republic period while BOR has more Roman vs 'Barbarian' stuff along with the 1st Punic War (an earlier Republic period). Choose whichever interests you more, if you decide to test the waters with one of them.

Definitely going to include the Parthians. An expansion focused on the Romes conquest of the east/Levant?

That's partially why I haven't pulled the trigger - I'm interested in both of those, as well as the 2nd Punic War...and the Roman-Greek conflicts, and Late Imperial stuff...

I'm encouraged that they keep making DLC for these. That suggests other periods I'm interested in will get covered at some point. Looks like I'm buying one of these and DW:Shadows tonight!
